The Joshua Tree National Park is located in southeastern California. It is named after the joshua tree forests native to the park. The amazing rock formations were formed 100 million years ago from the cooling of magma beneath the surface. Ground- water is responsibles for the erosion that created the spheres from rectangular blocks. By the time we visited the park we were lucky enough to see an amazing amount of stars and even meteor showers.
